FUND DESCRIPTION: DWS Global Commodities Stock Fund, Inc., formerly Scudder Global Commodities Stock Fund, Inc., is an exchange-traded closed-end fund (CEF) or a closed-end ETF that is officially described as a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The DWS Global Commodities Stock Fund investment objective is capital appreciation with total return as a secondary objective. FUND STRATEGY: Under normal market conditions, the Fund will invest substantially all but not less than 80% of its total assets in equity and commodities-linked securities of companies in commodities-related industries or other issuers where the value of the investment is linked to changes in commodity prices or a commodities-related index, such as commodities-linked structured notes. Commodities are assets that have tangible properties, such as oil, metal and agricultural products. Securities of companies in commodities-related industries include common stocks, preferred securities, warrants, convertible securities and other equity and commodities-linked securities issued by such companies or other issuers where the value of the investment is linked to changes in commodity prices or a commodities-related index, such as commodities-linked structured notes. FUND MANAGEMENT: Deutsche Investment Management Americas, Inc. serves as the investment manager to the Fund.

Notes: July 22, 2010 – The Board of Directors of DWS Enhanced Commodity Strategy Fund, Inc. (NYSE: GCS) announced today that the Fund’s reconvened annual meeting of stockholders was held on July 22, 2010 after being adjourned without action on June 28, 2010. Preliminary results indicate stockholders approved the Board’s proposal to merge the Fund into DWS Enhanced Commodity Strategy Fund (Nasdaq: SKNRX), a registered open-end fund also managed by Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. The Fund will announce the anticipated closing date for the merger in a future press release, but at this time the merger is expected to be completed by the end of August 2010.
