Notes: July 22, 2015 -- JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU) has announced a spin-off of Lumentum Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: LITE), its Communications and Commercial Optical Products business segment (CCOP). The first day of regular way trading will be, August 4, 2015. The symbol will change from when issued symbol LITEV to LITE on that date. JDS Uniphase Corp. will be renamed Viavi Solutions Inc. and will trade regular way under the new symbol VIAV on the EX date, 8/4/2015. JDSU shareholders will receive one share of Lumentum common stock for every five shares of JDSU common stock. After the distribution, Lumentum will be an independent, publicly-traded company. JDSU will be renamed Viavi Solutions Inc. and, at the time of the distribution, will retain ownership of approximately 19.9% of Lumentum's outstanding shares.
